Sep 25: Important Deadlines and Info

Dear Fellow Best-Patrol-in-the-Division Patrollers 🙂 We have a few things to cover here, so please keep reading. 

This past weekend we completed our Instructor Refresher, and as the IT was telling us what a big and impressive group we were, I was reminded how lucky we are as a patrol to have so many wonderful instructors. Thank you all for all the time and energy you spend to maintain our excellent programs!

Some important deadlines: 

• Friday 3 October: Sign up for Evac and the OEC Refresher. IORs need to create groups so that we can move efficiently throughout the days.
• Monday 6 October: Purchase your Cascade Patrol pass. We recently learned that our waivers expired at the end of last season, so patrollers will not be able to join refresher without having purchased their pass. 
• Friday 10 October: Finish the online OEC Refresher
• Honestly, you may as well just do all those things right now. Each task above takes less than one minute, except for the online refresher. 

Some important info and requests

• If any of you have children who can come and be a patient at the refresher, please contact Gretchen. We're looking for about 6 kids. We'll feed them. 
• Please help at the 10/31-11/1 Cascade Ski Swap: Monies made from this popular swap go toward the patrol. Also, patrollers who work at the swap can earn points or put hours toward the rental or purchase of a vest. Shifts on Homebase will be available soon.
