Ski Passes, OEC, and swag oh my!
Hello CMSP!
We have a few very pressing(ish) items that had to be addressed tonight and could not possibly wait till Saturday morning.
First, start/finish your online OEC refresher, we are down to the last few people that need to get it done.
Sign on to nsp.org. https://www.nsp.org
click on the center for learning button. https://learning.nsp.org/topclass/login.do
Click the 2025 OEC refresher Cycle C Online Modules, https://learning.nsp.org/topclass/topclass.do?expand-OfferingDetails-viaTC=1-offeringId=12767358
Then click enroll, then hang on and have fun.
Next, we are going to try something new this year and try to purchase our passes before our Refresher. If your season pass(es) purchase has not been completed by the end of Refresher Weekend, there may be a steep fine and/or consequence (don't make me initiate an uphill ski test!).
The link for purchasing your patrol pass and any family passes is here: 25/26 Patrol Link and keep reading if you'd like more info.
Click the link - 25/26 Patrol Link
Then click the tile that says "Patrol"
From here you will have a choice to purchase your own season pass or a Family/Friend season pass. Start with your own, the "Patrol Pass"
Returning patrollers probably don't need to enter their Homebase number or input a new picture.
New patrollers: you will need to create your account. At the bottom right it asks for your Homebase number. You can find this in your Homebase account, and if you can't find it, contact Gretchen (608.334.1882)
New patrollers you will also need to upload a current picture of yourself (and anyone else you will be purchasing a pass for) or plan to take a picture at Cascade. Please note that it is usually much easier to upload your picture.
How do the points work? Patrollers in good standing will start with 300 points and can use those points toward the purchase of their family/friend season passes. The number of points needed for each season pass is indicated in the pass-purchasing website.
Third, don't forget to register for CPR in homebase if your card expires before the end of the season. If you pick September 10th, that instructor is requiring cookies as payment so make sure you are prepared.
Fourth, the online SWAG store is closing August 18th (if you miss it, you'll have to wait months to order again) the Collection by Jenni has been very popular so far. https://cascadeskipatrol.itemorder.com/shop/home/
Finally, the central division meeting is still coming up and is still in Milwaukee. Click on First Tracks Central Division Patroller Conference 2025 - Milwaukee WI to register. I heard it may be a very good night for Cascade Ski Patrol on Saturday night, even better if you were to be wearing some cool CMSP swag.
If you've made it this far. Please I beg of you to make sure to punctuate correctly. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/think-commas-don-t-matter-omitting-one-cost-maine-dairy-n847151.
