Chair Evacuation Refresher
Saturday, October 8, 2022
Helmets will be mandatory for participation in the Chair Evac Refresher. This is non-negotiable and is an ANSI requirement.
The good news is that any “safety rated” helmet is acceptable including your ski helmet; or bike, climbing, skateboard helmet; or a construction hardhat.
Sign up is on Humanity. Sign in and click on the blue and white button on the left on the Dashboard that says “4 shift available”. There are three-four hour time slots to select from (2 hours of station rotations and 2 hours of chair evac practice). Sessions start at 7:45, 9:45, and 11:45. Meet outdoors on the main walkway and be prompt.
If you are a candidate that has never done lift evacuation, then please sign up on Humanity for the Candidate Chair Evacuation, which will be all day.
New for 2021 - This year we will be training on the Petzl ID, which will replace our Rescue 8 device. A video describing this device will be up on Humanity that you are required to watch prior to the refresher. Dress for the weather as all stations will be outside. Bring a pair of work gloves.
