Dear Cascade Mountain Ski Patrol,

As your Patrol Representative, I am somewhat excited on this warm summer evening (Heat index is predicted over 100 on Wednesday) to connect with all of you as we prepare for an exciting and safe season at Cascade Mountain. I’m humbled to serve in this role, working alongside such a dedicated group committed to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests. I truly appreciate all the effort, time, and treasure that this group puts in for this organization.

I have a short list of to-dos for you all:

First send a big congratulations to the below list who just this week passed the OEC final and became brand new Cascade Mountain Ski Patrollers.

James and the Saturday Night crew look forward to all the new faces. I hear he is really stepping up the Sat Night swag game this year.

Also, a big shoutout to Tara and Toni and all the instructors, helpers, and patients who spend countless hours that make this possible.

Next mark your calendars:

OEC refresher: October 12th
Chair lift evac refresher: October 11th

If you're an instructor a few more dates and look out for details coming from Tara and Jenni.

OEC instructor refresher: September 21st
Chair lift evac instructor refresher: September 20th

These refreshers are not only a chance to recertify but also an opportunity to strengthen our teamwork and camaraderie. To further that effort we are going to begin each day running sunrise hill repeats up Schoolmarm. Next year we'll move over to Manitou to increase the difficulty

Third, start your online OEC refresher, I've completed mine and I didn't die. I'm not going to say it was fun but I'm still here. As of right now 4 of us so far have completed it and I can confirm as of Saturday 3 of them are still alive. That's at least a minimum 75% survival rate.
